EMFs and ADHD

Childhood ADHD and EMFs is a subject now raising questions in the minds of researchers. There’s been a sharp rise in ADHD in the last decade. Although there may be many causes, the rise corresponds with the increasing amount of EMFs in the environment over the same time period. Researchers are finding a probable link.

What are EMFs?

EMFs are electro-magnetic fields that emanate from the electrical grid and appliances–and also, very importantly, from ,cell phones, Wi Fi, cell towers and high power lines. They are highly hazardous to health, affecting both the nervous system and immune system, and are known to cause numerous disorders and diseases.

Are children being bombarded by EMFs?

If children have cell phones or laptops, play wireless games, or live and sleep in a home with Wi Fi, be assured they are affected. Living in the sea of electromagnetic smog these devices create is hard for anyone. But children are especially vulnerable, as their nervous systems and brains are still developing.

ADHD symptoms are very similar to EMF symptoms:

· Impaired concentration

· Loss of short term memory

· Anxiety

· Behavioural problems

· Sleep disturbances

According to powerwatch.org/uk, a new study in Britain was done in 2010 on mothers with children who have behavior problems. It concluded that

“there is an association between prenatal as well as postnatal use and behavioral problems by age 7 among a general population of mothers who are cell phone users.”

Adult ADHD and EMFS

While children tend to be to be the focus of research on ADHD, it is now known that children do not generally outgrow the disease in adolescence, as was previously thought. Their symptoms simply change, the most important of which is difficulty with executive functioning.

ADHD or Electrosensitivity?

Many adults with ADHD have also been diagnosed with Electro-sensitivity, a disease that is now assaulting millions of people world-wide, leading researchers to wonder if ADHD is sometimes simply an early version of electro-sensitivity.
