EMFs and Autism

What are EMFs?

EMFs are electro-magnetic fields that emanate from the electrical grid and appliances and from cell phones, Wi Fi, cell towers and high power lines. They pose serious health dangers, affecting both the nervous system and immune system, and are known to cause numerous disorders and diseases.

Are children being bombarded by EMFs?

Cell phones, laptops, wireless games or Wi Fi create a sea of electro-magnetic pollution in the home environment. All of these wireless devices send out a particularly hazardous type of EMF. These wireless EMFs (also known as microwave radiation) are dangerous for anyone’s health. But children are especially vulnerable, because their nervous systems and brains are still developing.

Autism and EMFs is a topic currently emerging in scientific research journals. Autism, one of the most heart-breaking and enigmatic children’s disorders, has increased almost 60-fold since the late 1970s, with the most significant increases occurring in the past decade.

Due to the explosion of technology over the last decade, researchers are beginning to suspect and investigate an association between electromagnetic radiation and autism.

Research on Autism and EMFs

An important study conducted in 2009 by Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt on autistic children and their mothers during pregnancy, shows significant results, strongly suggesting that

“electromagnetic radiation in the sleeping environment of the mothers during pregnancy, as well as electromagnetic radiation in the sleeping environment of children may be key undiscovered contributing if not causative factors in neurological impairments in children, including autism…”

The incidence of autism in the US is currently 1 in 150 children, according to CDC reports, compared to ratio at the end of the 1970s, which was 1 in 10,000. This was before cell phones and other wireless technologies were introduced into the environment.

Tamara Mareia, founder of Internal Balance, Inc., is releasing findings from more than 5 years of research that point to cell phone radiation stress as one of the potentially major causes of the explosion of autistic cases in the last two decades. Read more on Autism and Cell Phone Radiation.

Other researchers, Tamara Mareira and George Carlo, conducted a study in 2007 in which they concluded:
